Smokey Eyes, Smokey Eye, Smoky Eye, Smoky Eyes

There are always new and interesting trends in makeup design making their way to the catwalks of Paris and Milan and to the pages of the most popular style magazines and it would seem that many makeup design artists are under the impression that the Smokey eye look will not only be popular in 2012, but that people might end up wearing this look all year long instead of just in seasonal jumps. There has been a lot of effort by some makeup companies to make sure that this look has all of the require colors and implements available at the store, but consumers, too, are getting excited about how they can wear the smokey eyes look in multiple seasons.

Some makeup artists expect the cat eyes look to make an exit and be replaced with more types of smokey designs, which is interesting because the cat eye look is such that it is simply an extension of the design used by makeup artists to create the smokey eyes appearance. Interestingly, there have also been suggestions that people will start to become more interested in fashions that include a much thicker type of eyeliner instead of the thin, liquid style eyeliners that have been popular with some of the eye looks over the past few seasons.

In related opinions, it is expected that the prevalence of nails painted to match the eyes will continue to surge in popularity with a number of makeup providers looking to create colors that were once thought only appropriate for the eyes in various nail polish bottles.
